Hi, I'm Alyssa!
Behavior Analyst, Mom, & Lifelong Learner
I love meeting new people and hearing their story, because everyone's story is important. Growing up, I thought I would be a teacher or psychologist; I wanted to find ways to interact with people that would highlight their strengths, uplift them, and make a genuine connection.
Once I learned about ABA (applied behavior analysis), it instantly clicked. I enjoyed the creative challenge to support my clients because each person has unique strengths and unique needs. My clients teach me to focus on details and I enjoy walking alongside parents during challenges and celebrations - it's especially rewarding to see an entire family become confident and connected!
Fast forward in my professional career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst© and I have provided ABA therapy services for 10 years to neurodivergent kids, teens, & adults in many settings- clinic, home, community, day hab, group home, and telehealth.
After becoming a mother myself, I realized my background in ABA allows me to approach my parenting decisions from an organized perspective and that gives me confidence, even on the hard days! I also quickly realized how little time (free time, what's that?) us parents have to dedicate towards learning strategies. Having a new perspective as a mother, I have grown in my ability to create parent-friendly resources for a variety of topics.
My intention behind creating these resources is to provide parents with confidence while supporting their child's development, & provide supplemental resources for busy clinicians.
I'm honored to be Your Behavior Ally!
